Cascading Curls!

This is a quick and easy one. Begin by curling the hair.

Next, make a ponytail at the back of the head that does not include all of the hair. Leave hair out on both sides.

Then make an upside down flip ponytail. You can go to THIS post if you don't know how to do it.

Then let the hair down and twist the other hair and bobby pin it over the other hair.

You can also take some curls and bobby pin them to make the curls different lengths.
We also added some more curl.

You can also just do one big upside down flip with your hair wavy, straight, or curly like I did.

So you can do this on yourself. ENJOY!

Sock Curls!

Another way to get cute curls is socks. Here is how to do it.
First, part off a section of hair and clip the hair around it up so other hair doesn't get caught in the sock.

Next, wet the hair down(not too wet), then you take a sock (I used my dad's socks) and roll it up with the hair in it.

Then you do the same thing till all of the hair is in socks. You can also tie the socks together to help them stay in better.

We called her Medusa for the rest of the night. :)

So here are the curls right after we took them out.

Here are the curls after I separated them out and finger combed them.

Here is the right side. We also added a cute headband.

Dutch Braids and Curls

The first step is optional. Put two ponytails in the front.

Next, Do two french or dutch braids down the hair, but don't braid them all the way down to make pig tails.

Then, just curl those pig tails with a curling iron or curlers and your done!

Alyssa was very happy when we were done.

Since we were wearing matching shirts, she wanted our hair to be the same too.

Pretty soon we are going to show you some cool ways to curl your hair so stay tuned!
I hope you enjoy!

Braids, Buns, and Curls

So, today Alyssa told me she wanted braids, buns, and curls in her hair. So here is a hairstyle that I made up just for her.

This step is optional. Make two ponytails in the front of the head. (we are still growing out her bangs)

Next, you make two french or dutch braids.

Then, combine the two braids into a ponytail. You can also do a side ponytail if the hair is long.

Next, take a small piece of hair from the ponytail and start a regular braid. Do about one plait and then you are going to want to start taking really small pieces of hair out of the braid on both sides.

It should look like this now.

Then, take that braid and bobby pin it where the two braids meet. (in that little hole)

Make a braid like that on the side with about the same amount of hair. (That braid is called a feather braid)

Put that braid through the loop the first braid made and bobby pin it in the hole.

    It should look like this.

Do the same thing to the other side. It should look like this:

Now, curl the pieces of hair that are hanging out of the braids. Her hair isn't very long so there wasn't very much curl. We just curled a few.....

If the hair is long, you can do one big feather braid and wrap it around itself and bobby pin it into place and have curls coming out of a pretty bun. But her hair isn't quite long enough yet.

I hope you enjoy!
